Now he ruthlessly draws power from many different altars as they poison the world with their dark magic.

Action: Sigil of Blood - During your Monster Activation, this model can spend one Action Die to perform a Sigil of Blood Action. You can return an allied unit within five spaces of this model to its unit reserves. If you do, you can advance an allied model up to two spaces. For each space the model does not advance this way, gain one Power Die.

Eclipse - If you are securing this building, at the start of your turn you can advance an allied unit one space.

Ancient Ones Base - Once per turn, if you are securing one or more buildings with the Ancient Ones Base and spawn an Ancient Ones unit, reduce its cost by 1.

The Ancient Altar is an extremely versatile building. It can be used to move friendly models or generate power dice which is an exceptionally good combination. It also has a very relevant discount that allows you to get access to the Ancient Ones units on the cheap.

Any list that really wants to lean into movement tricks to line up massive damage with Hazardous or Death Sentence will want to consider the Ancient Altar. It is also a pretty decent building for ensuring that your monsters stay safely screened, so units with out-of-activation movement tricks like Hop or Hitchhiker are also great to have here. Of course, any list that is running Ancient Ones units will also make use of the discount while getting access to the amazing abilities this building has.
